Needs analysis is defined as "the gap between the current state of performance and the desired state of performance" (Altschuld & Kumar, 2010). The workshop focuses on needs analysis in higher education helping instructors identify, understand, assess, and address students' performance gaps, improving learning outcomes for all students. The workshop will also propose Blackboard tools (such as rubric reports, column statistics, and surveys) that can help instructors prioritize learning needs and propose solutions to address student performance gaps.
